KPMG has released its annual report on overall tax competitiveness across the world, ranking countries and cities on how favorable their tax environments are for business and, taking into account total taxes paid, it appears that Canada is the most competitve country in terms of taxes on companies, followed by the U.K., Mexico, the Netherlands and, finally, the U.S. in the number 5 spot.
